About Fossil Creek: Hiking: Fossil Creek Bridge Trail
# 30 Fossil Creek Bridge Trail
Just down from the Fossil Creek Bridge is a beautiful swimming hole with turquoise waters that make it look like a little bit of Havasupai. The waters of Fossil Creek spring from the ground rich in lime, which is then laid down along the length of the creek as travertine deposits. To enjoy the swimming hole and the scenery along the creek, you can park your car just past the bridge and scramble down the steep slope. It is an ideal spot for a dip, a picnic lunch, or a short hike further down the luxuriously colored waterway.
Note: The road to the bridge is a narrow, steep, winding route not suitable for travel in poor weather.
